The launch night of Chiasma Auckland was a grand success, with a packed room of students to witness the unveiling of one of the most ambitious student-led organisations in University of Auckland. The launch took place on the evening of 17th March and was the culmination of weeks of hard work by a dedicated team of students who had put in countless hours to make the Launch Night a reality. The event featured a range of activities including speeches by industry professionals, panel discussions and networking opportunities.
The night began with an opening speech by Kyla Lee, the CEO of Chiasma UoA. In her speech, Lee addresses the organisation’s goals, objectives, future plans for the year and benefits that Chiasma could offer to students. Following that, Katrina Chan, the COO of Chiasma UoA spoke passionately about their vision for the future and the role they hoped Chiasma UoA would play in shaping it.
The event also featured a speech by the two industry professionals Jessica Chiang and Charlotte Print sharing their insights and experiences in the field of innovation, entrepreneurship and the STEM field. During the panel discussion, these speakers provided valuable advice to the students on how to navigate and make the most out of the opportunities available to them and carve out a successful career in STEM.
Overall, the launch night of Chiasma UoA was a resounding success. The event provided a platform for students to connect with industry professionals, learn from their experiences, gain valuable knowledge about the world of entrepreneurship, and gain insights into Chiasma’s exciting future plans.
