Majority of my friends are interested in/study non-STEM degrees so I initially joined to connect with people who are on a similar career path. STEM is such a rapidly expanding and exciting field that having people to discuss interesting tech with or to bounce ideas off was really important to me. While that in itself is invaluable, I stayed in Chiasma because of the enormous value it provides to students - I wanted to use my skill set to further Chiasma's vision of connecting as many STEM students with their ideal careers and mentors.

𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐚 𝐟𝐮𝐧 𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐭 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮? 🤩
Laughing triggers my (otherwise very mild) asthma to the point where I could literally suffocate from hanging out with certain (hilarious) friends. Before modern medicine my tombstone would've read RIP Death by Laughter 🙁

The sci-fi world in the short story, The Bookmaking Habits of Select Species, in Ken Liu's The Paper Menagerie. Such bizarre and creative ways of information being passed down and I'd love to experience each and every one of them.

𝐖𝐡𝐢𝐜𝐡 𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐥 𝐰𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐛𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐧 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐣𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐲 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐧𝐞𝐰 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝? 🐵

𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐚𝐝𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐠𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬? ❤️
If anything interests you - try it out! If you're interested in an opportunity but you don't think you'll get it, apply anyway. Some of the best experiences are unexpected and you're 1000% more capable that you give yourself credit for.
